YES! From mixers and bar nights to climbing the Bell Tower during Senior Week, senior events — organized by the senior class marshals — are a great way to stay involved..

The senior class marshals (senior marshals or marshals) are a select group of diverse, energetic seniors who love UNC and want to help others understand the importance of serving our great University and staying connected to Carolina after graduation. Marshals plan several events and programs that help seniors optimize their final school year and prepare for life after Carolina. The marshals are led by the elected senior class president and vice president and a selected chief marshal. This group is advised by staff at the General Alumni Association.

NO! Though these forms serve similar purposes, the response data is submitted to separate administrative entities.

Apply to graduate through the University Registrar using ConnectCarolina. Submit your Hussman degree audit request form (linked at the top of this page) to allow time to complete an audit of curriculum progress and to confirm outstanding requirements in time for students to make any necessary schedule adjustments.

Scheduling a degree audit check appointment with Hussman Academic Advising is optional for after your request form has been submitted and reviewed.

Students whose primary major is in the College of Arts and Sciences are required to schedule a senior planning appointment with a full-time adviser in their primary major by the end of their seventh semester.

This does NOT apply to MEJO majors, however, because the senior planning appointment is addressed through the degree audit request submission.

The University holds Winter Commencement and Spring Commencement ceremonies in December and May, respectively. Future University commencement dates, times, locations, speakers and more can be found on the UNC Commencement website.
